Security Operations Centre (SOC) Specialist

About the role

SkillOnNet is looking for a proactive Security Operations Centre Specialist to lead and enhance its security monitoring, detection, and response capabilities across its iGaming portfolio. You will manage day‑to‑day operations of SIEM and EDR platforms, conduct threat hunting, and continuously improve detection use cases while ensuring compliance with ISO 27001 and PCI DSS.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor SIEM tools in real‑time, triage alerts, investigate incidents and follow established playbooks.
• Develop, tune and maintain detection rules, correlation use cases and automated response actions for SIEM and EDR.
• Conduct proactive threat hunting using threat intelligence, endpoint, network and log data.
• Perform internal and external penetration tests, simulate attack scenarios and produce technical remediation reports.
• Maintain threat intelligence feeds, IOCs and ensure log collection, retention and integrity.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 3‑5 years of experience in SOC operations, incident response, threat hunting or security monitoring.
• Hands‑on experience managing SIEM and EDR platforms.
• Familiarity with ISO 27001 and PCI DSS security monitoring requirements.

Required skills

• SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, ArcSight).
• EDR solutions (e.g., CrowdStrike, SentinelOne).
• Log analysis, correlation rule creation, KQL/SPL scripting.
• PowerShell and Python scripting for automation.
• Offensive tools such as Metasploit, Cobalt Strike, Burp Suite.
• Penetration testing of networks, applications and systems.
