Head of Maritime Intelligence

About the role

Vanguard Tech is establishing a dedicated Maritime Intelligence Division. As Head of Maritime Intelligence you will create and lead a global intelligence function that delivers high‑quality maritime intelligence to clients operating around the world.

Key responsibilities

• Define the strategy, operating model and long‑term vision for the Maritime Intelligence function.
• Recruit, build and manage a multidisciplinary team of analysts and subject‑matter experts.
• Establish collection, validation, analysis and reporting processes for maritime security, geopolitical developments, sanctions and operational risk.
• Produce strategic, operational and tactical intelligence products for external clients and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor global maritime security trends, emerging threats and regional instability.
• Collaborate with product and technology teams to embed intelligence into predictive‑analytics and AI‑enabled solutions.
• Develop relationships with industry partners, maritime authorities, government agencies and intelligence providers.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading or developing intelligence teams in maritime, security, defence or global‑risk environments.
• Strong understanding of maritime security, geopolitical developments, sanctions, compliance and operational risk.
• Demonstrated ability to produce high‑quality intelligence assessments and analytical products.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience working across international, multidisciplinary environments.
