Procurement & Purchasing Supervisor – Retail

About the role

The Procurement & Purchasing Supervisor will lead purchasing operations for a well‑established retail company. You will ensure timely procurement from both international and local suppliers, maintain optimal inventory levels, and support the commercial team to guarantee product availability while controlling costs.

Key responsibilities

• Manage purchasing activities based on sales forecasts and inventory needs.
• Process orders, purchase orders, invoices and related documentation for all suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance, negotiate pricing, payment terms and delivery schedules.
• Maintain strong supplier relationships and evaluate their performance.
• Monitor inventory levels, analyse stock movement and support replenishment planning.
• Handle slow‑moving, obsolete stock and support new product launches or discontinuations.
• Prepare purchasing reports, track budgets and manage inventory investment.
• Coordinate shipments with logistics providers, customs brokers and warehouse teams.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Brand and Finance teams to meet business requirements.
• Identify process‑improvement opportunities, support ERP enhancements and ensure compliance with purchasing policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of purchasing experience, preferably in FMCG, retail or distribution.
• Detail‑oriented with strong analytical and negotiation abilities.

• Competitive annual salary €22,000 – €28,000 (based on qualifications and experience).
• Working hours: Monday‑Thursday 08:30‑17:30, half‑day Fridays 08:30‑13:30.
