Onboarding Compliance Specialist – KYC & AML (Cyprus)

About the role

Our client, a leading international iGaming company, is seeking an Onboarding (Underwriting) Compliance Specialist to join its Legal department in Limassol, Cyprus. Reporting to the Head of Legal, you will ensure that new business partners are onboarded in line with regulatory requirements and internal compliance standards, focusing on KYC, AML, due diligence and risk assessments.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct KYC and due diligence checks on new and existing business partners.
• Review corporate structures, beneficial ownership and supporting documentation.
• Perform AML and compliance risk assessments during onboarding.
• Verify documentation against internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor compliance with AML, CTF, FATCA, OFAC and other applicable regulations.
• Identify and escalate potential compliance risks.
• Maintain accurate compliance records and prepare regulatory documentation.
• Support continuous improvement of onboarding and compliance procedures.
• Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Operations and external stakeholders to ensure a smooth onboarding process.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Business, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Compliance, KYC, AML, Due Diligence or Financial Crime.
• Strong understanding of AML regulations, sanctions screening and customer due diligence.
• Experience assessing risk and reviewing corporate documentation.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Effective communication skills and a proactive problem‑solving approach.
