Investment Data and Valuations Associate

About the role

MUFG Investor Services, a division of Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, provides fund administration and operational solutions to public and private funds, with over $1 trillion in client assets under administration. This Investment Data & Valuation (IDV) Associate role ensures high-quality fund administration services for clients by operating and overseeing internal and vendor systems to create and maintain accurate investment product databases, pricing and valuations, corporate action processing and investment reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and maintain a global reference database for financial products, including exchange-traded, broker-dealer platform and OTC derivatives products.
• Ensure accurate and timely pricing and valuation, validate prices and work with market data vendors (Bloomberg, ICE, Markit, Refinitiv, etc.) on price challenges.
• Process corporate actions across global portfolios such as dividends, splits, mergers and acquisitions, calls and puts, as well as asset servicing, drawdowns, paybacks and rate resets.
• Take part in setting up, maintaining and monitoring automated processes such as trade capture, investment pricing and OTC derivatives evaluation.
• Respond promptly to enquiries about financial instruments, corporate actions, pricing and valuation and investment reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree as a minimum; Master's in Finance, Economics, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Computational Finance, Financial Engineering or another quantitative field preferred.
• CFA, FRM or enrolment in such programmes strongly desired.
• Experience in the financial services industry is an asset; new graduates with a relevant major are welcomed.
• Strong understanding of financial markets, exchange-traded and OTC products, and investment pricing and valuation.
