Housekeeping Supervisor

About the role

The Housekeeping Supervisor leads the daily cleaning operations of guest rooms, corridors, and back‑of‑house areas, ensuring all tasks meet the hotel’s quality standards and safety guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure all allocated daily tasks are completed according to SOPs, guidelines and checklists.
• Monitor and maintain room cleanliness to company standards.
• Assist in supervising other housekeeping sections as needed.
• Coach, develop and evaluate Room Attendants, conducting performance reviews and counseling.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of heart‑of‑house areas, using appropriate signage.
• Perform cleaning duties when required and oversee the turndown process.
• Coordinate with other departments to deliver timely guest service.
• Ensure punctuality, proper uniform, and high personal hygiene of housekeeping staff.
• Monitor supply usage, control costs and promote awareness.
• Participate in health‑and‑safety activities and keep work areas clean and equipment maintained.
• Report accidents, injuries, unsafe conditions or security issues to management.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in housekeeping at a five‑star hotel.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail, interpersonal and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to resolve conflicts and negotiate effectively.
• Professional attitude and ethics toward guests and colleagues.

Required skills

• Proficiency with a Property Management System (PMS).
• Competent use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
