Head of Cyber Security – Technology Consulting Lead

About the role

We are seeking a Head of Cyber Security to lead technology consulting services for a top‑four accounting and auditing firm in Nicosia. The role combines technical expertise, client advisory, and team leadership to protect and enhance the firm’s security posture.

Key responsibilities

• Produce technical documentation for security test preparation, execution and recommendations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to remediate system vulnerabilities.
• Train colleagues on the latest cyber‑security tactics, techniques and procedures.
• Develop business proposals and respond to client RFPs/RFIs.
• Identify new business opportunities and manage large‑scale cybersecurity programmes.
• Oversee delivery, program management and client relationship for penetration‑testing and threat‑intelligence projects.
• Lead a medium‑sized consulting team, ensuring high‑quality service delivery.

Required profile

• Recognised degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, IT or related STEM field (preferred).
• Relevant certifications such as CEH, OSCP, CISSP, CISM, CISA, etc.
• Minimum 7 years of professional experience, with at least 4‑5 years in client‑facing advisory roles and team management.
• Strong knowledge of IT security standards and frameworks (OWASP, NIST, CIS).
• Deep understanding of network, infrastructure and application security concepts.

Required skills

• Kali Linux and associated penetration‑testing tools.
• Burp Suite, Metasploit, Core Impact, AppScan, WebInspect, SSLScan, SoapUI Pro, SonarQube, Qualys, Nikto, Nessus, nmap, sqlmap, OWASP ZAP.
• OWASP Top 10 knowledge and mitigation techniques.
• Web‑application security testing (SQL injection, XSS, CSRF, auth/authorisation issues).
• Database testing – MSSQL, Oracle, MySQL, NoSQL.
• Endpoint, perimeter, advanced threat protection and malware defence technologies.
• Cyber‑analytics, security intelligence platforms and threat‑intelligence frameworks.
