Experienced AML Officer – Central Compliance Services

About the role

PwC is seeking an Experienced AML Officer to join its Central Compliance Services team in Nicosia. The role focuses on conducting AML/CFT due diligence, KYC reviews, and supporting compliance across a multi‑jurisdictional regulatory framework.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and perform thorough AML/CFT due diligence and KYC profile reviews for new and existing clients, ensuring compliance with Cyprus AML legal and regulatory requirements and PwC internal policies.
• Conduct client risk assessments to identify, evaluate, and mitigate AML/CFT risks.
• Identify suspicious client transactions and behaviors, escalating concerns for investigation in line with PwC policies.
• Collaborate with business units and client‑facing teams to collect, review, and validate onboarding documentation and KYC data.
• Manage and optimise KYC/AML onboarding procedures, monitoring automated systems and tools used by PwC.
• Provide expert guidance and training to junior team members and client‑facing teams to promote KYC/AML compliance awareness.
• Respond promptly to inquiries, deliver high‑quality work, and handle ad‑hoc requests from client‑facing personnel.

Required profile

• University degree or Master’s in Compliance, Risk Management, Law or a related field.
• Relevant professional qualifications such as ACAMS, ICA Diploma in AML, or AML certificates from ICPAC/CySEC are strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in AML/CFT regulatory compliance roles within an ICPAC, CySEC or Cyprus Bar Association regulated entity.
• Excellent command of Greek and English, both written and spoken.

• Proficiency in compliance software.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
