Chemistry Teacher (Secondary)

About the role
The American Academy Nicosia is seeking a well‑qualified, passionate and enthusiastic Chemistry teacher to join its secondary department beginning September 2026. The successful candidate will deliver high‑quality chemistry education to secondary students, follow the school curriculum and uphold the academy’s safeguarding policies. The academy follows safer recruitment procedures and is dedicated to the welfare of all students. Applicants must be able to demonstrate their right to work in the Republic of Cyprus and will be subject to satisfactory references and child‑protection checks.
Key responsibilities
- Teach chemistry to secondary‑level students.
Required profile
- A university degree in Chemistry, certified by KYSATS.
- At least one year of secondary‑school teaching experience (advantage).
- A relevant postgraduate qualification such as a PGCE (advantage).
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
