Associate, Portfolio Operations

About the role

MUFG Investor Services supports the accurate valuation of investment funds by reviewing and reconciling fund activity. This full-time Associate, Portfolio Operations position is based in Limassol and involves checking cash balances, investment positions, dividends and interest, investigating differences with custodians and brokers, and verifying pricing of financial instruments.

Key responsibilities

• Review and reconcile cash balances, investment positions, dividend income, interest income and other fund activity.
• Review client transactions, corporate actions (e.g. stock splits and mergers) and market prices to support accurate portfolio valuation.
• Investigate and resolve differences between fund records and information received from custodians, brokers and other counterparties.
• Verify pricing of shares, bonds, futures, options and derivatives using market data sources such as Bloomberg and ICE.
• Assist with onboarding of new clients and contribute to improving operational processes and technology solutions.
• Respond promptly to client queries, meet agreed service standards and build strong relationships with stakeholders.

Required profile

• University degree in Computer Science, Math, Finance, Accounting or an equivalent combination.
• One to two years of experience in accounting, audit, financial services or a similar field; preference for investor services, fund administration or asset management experience.

Required skills

• Understanding of equities, bonds, forwards, futures, options and OTC derivatives.
• Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel (pivot tables, TEXT, LOOKUP, MATH functions).
• Intermediate knowledge of VBA, SQL or any programming is an advantage.
