Assistant Manager – Audit

About the role

FRP Cyprus, a professional services firm offering Audit, Accounting, Tax, Advisory, Restructuring and Transaction Services, is looking for an Assistant Manager to join its Audit team. The role supports Senior Managers and Partners in delivering audit and assurance engagements, supervises and mentors junior team members, manages audit assignments from planning to completion and maintains client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients
• Plan, coordinate and review audit work in line with International Standards on Auditing (ISAs)
• Supervise, coach and develop audit associates and senior associates
• Prepare and review statutory financial statements under IFRS
• Identify audit risks and develop appropriate audit responses
• Liaise directly with clients as the day-to-day point of contact
• Monitor engagement budgets, timelines and resource allocation
• Assist in developing client relationships and identifying business opportunities
• Support firm-wide quality and compliance procedures and contribute to the growth of the Audit team

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification
• Minimum 4 years of external audit experience, preferably in a professional services firm
• Experience supervising and reviewing the work of junior team members
• Knowledge of the Cyprus business environment and regulatory framework is an advantage

Required skills

• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and ISAs
• Analytical, organisational and project management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines at once
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other audit-related software
