AML Officer - Internal Risk Management

About the role

KPMG Cyprus is recruiting an experienced AML Officer for its Internal Risk Management Department in Nicosia. The role sits within the compliance function and supports the review of clients' money laundering and terrorist financing risk.

Key responsibilities

• Perform KYC/CDD reviews for new and existing clients across low, medium and high AML risk classifications
• Establish clients' economic profiles and their ML/FT risk assessments
• Maintain and update internal compliance records, including software, tools and logs
• Support client-facing colleagues on AML/KYC/CDD policies, procedures and controls

Required profile

• University degree with a 2:1 or equivalent
• 1-2 years of prior experience in AML, KYC/CDD or compliance
• Good knowledge of EU and local AML/CTF regulations
• Integrity, confidentiality, strong written and verbal communication, teamwork, prioritisation, attention to detail, ability to work under pressure and organisational skills

Required skills

• Excellent knowledge of Excel, Word and Microsoft Office
