Accounting Manager – Audit, Tax & Advisory Firm

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead daily accounting operations for an independent audit, tax and advisory firm in Nicosia. The role combines technical accounting expertise with strategic partnership to support client and internal decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee bookkeeping, transaction recording, reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Prepare and analyse financial statements, management reports, budgets and forecasts.
• Present financial insights to senior management.
• Supervise, train and review the accounting team to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Review and approve VAT returns, VIES forms and other statutory submissions.
• Liaise with tax authorities and external stakeholders on accounting and tax matters.
• Provide guidance to clients on accounting, VAT and compliance topics.
• Maintain strong client relationships through effective communication.
• Monitor project performance, ensure timely invoicing and follow up on outstanding balances.

Required profile

• ACA/ACCA qualified with a university degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• More than 5 years of audit‑firm experience, including at least 3 years post‑qualification.
• Excellent knowledge of Cyprus accounting standards and regulations.
• Fluent in Greek and English.
• Strong analytical, organisational and deadline‑driven abilities.
• High integrity, adaptability and a positive, can‑do attitude.
