Accountant – Real Estate Construction (Nicosia)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join a leading real‑estate construction group in Nicosia. The role offers a balanced mix of commercial exposure and technical accounting within a dynamic, established organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations and general ledger.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and support audit processes.
• Assist with VAT returns, tax compliance and year‑end financial procedures.
• Monitor financial performance, analyse expenditure and help maintain robust internal controls.
• Collaborate with procurement, project and operational teams to ensure smooth financial processes.
• Maintain accurate financial documentation and provide general support across the finance function.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 5–6 years of accounting experience.
• LCCI Higher or ACCA qualification (in progress or completed).
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
• Familiarity with Cyprus VAT and tax regulations (highly desirable).
• Excellent communication skills in Greek and English (English proficiency essential).
• High integrity, analytical, organisational and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of Cyprus VAT and tax regulations.
