Trainee Inspector

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Trainee Inspector to join our inspection team. The role involves supporting the planning and execution of cargo inspections on vessels, ensuring accurate quantitative checks and quality assessments of both dry and liquid cargoes.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and conduct inspections according to work instructions.
• Perform quantitative checks of dry cargoes.
• Control liquid cargo quantities using tank calibration tables.
• Sample cargoes using various approved methods.
• Carry out quality checks and on‑board analysis with portable devices.
• Compile field reports and sign inspection documentation.
• Safely transport samples to the laboratory.
• Use measurement and sampling equipment correctly.

Required profile

• High school diploma.
• Valid driving licence.
• IFIA certification for Inspector of Petroleum (desired).
• Fluent English.
• PC literacy (MS Windows, MS Office).

Required skills

• MS Windows operating system.
• Microsoft Office suite.
• Operation of measurement and sampling equipment.
• Use of portable cargo analysis devices.
