Technical Services Manager (HVAP) – Defence Contract in Cyprus

About the role

We are seeking a Technical Services Manager (HVAP) to join a Defence contract in Cyprus, taking full ownership of technical service delivery and ensuring the highest standards of maintenance and project activities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the onsite engineering team to deliver excellent behavioural and technical service standards across all M&E systems.
• Take technical responsibility for Tier 3–4 critical environments, HV & LV SAP, Petroleum AP and Mechanical AP appointments.
• Manage Legionella Responsible Person and Fuels Officer duties.
• Transfer sites to MOD JSP safe systems of work and uphold health & safety standards.
• Maintain the PPM planner, ensuring compliance with SFG20/MIRS.
• Provide technical support for complex problems, upgrades, system changes and project delivery.
• Oversee asset list, O&M library and change management processes.
• Develop and monitor load recording, reporting and technical SOP/EOP index.
• Coach and develop the engineering team, providing resilience cover for supervisory roles.
• Establish strong client relationships and deliver sound technical advice.

Required profile

• HV and LV SAP/AP status and IOSH Managing Safely health & safety training.
• Strong mechanical and electrical systems knowledge within commercial building environments.
• Experience with Building Services CAFM systems and PPM programmes (SFG20/MIRS).
• Proven leadership, people‑management and development experience.
• Completed an electrical and/or mechanical apprenticeship.
• Competent working knowledge of air handling units, building management systems, air‑conditioning, heating & ventilation, closed water systems, domestic water treatment, static UPS and emergency generators.
• SC security clearance (can be arranged) and 5‑year UK residence history.
