Senior PHP Developer – Billing Team (Relocation to Cyprus)

About the role

Freedom Finance Technologies is expanding its Billing team in Limassol and is looking for a senior PHP developer willing to relocate to Cyprus. You will work on core trading and banking products used by more than 700,000 users worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Implement new modules and integrate external services into web applications.
• Deploy code to production and estimate development tasks.
• Participate in designing and improving product infrastructure for stability and performance.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver business‑driven solutions.
• Design architectural solutions, select technologies, databases, and infrastructure to ensure high‑performing systems.

Required profile

• 6+ years of backend or full‑stack development experience, with at least 5 years of hands‑on PHP.
• Proficiency with a PHP framework (Laravel, Symfony, Zend Framework, or Yii).
• Strong grasp of OOP, SOLID principles and common design patterns.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines; familiarity with WebSockets is a plus.
• Solid SQL and relational database knowledge.
• Confident command‑line Git usage and Linux server setup.
• Willingness to write and maintain automated tests.
• Fintech background preferred; Russian (C1) and English (B1+) language skills.
• Experience with monolith architectures and service‑oriented migration.
