AI Platform Engineer, Enablement and Governance Operations

About the role

Join Payward’s Enterprise Transformation team to design, build, and operate the core technical layer of Kraken’s internal AI platform. You will enable safe, governed AI usage across the organization by bridging cutting‑edge capabilities with robust operational controls.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement the AI platform’s integration surface, production runbooks, and governed integration gateway, handling connector onboarding, OAuth flows, and vendor escalations.
• Develop internal tooling such as agent scaffolding, reusable skills, evaluation harnesses, and automation for provisioning and AI‑tool integration.
• Configure and operate tiered spend controls, set role‑based caps, build alerting, manage exception queues, and reconcile vendor commitments.
• Implement technical controls for data handling, retention, and model eligibility, including identity integration, SSO, SCIM, and workspace configuration.
• Collaborate directly with product and engineering teams to unblock workflows, provide technical enablement sessions, and author detailed runbooks and knowledge‑base material.
• Administer the end‑to‑end AI estate, covering model turn‑ups, feature enablement, deprecation, provisioning queues, vendor configurations, and seat adjustments.

Required profile

• Experience administering enterprise SaaS environments at 1,000+ seats, preferably with AI or LLM platforms.
• Proven ability to build and ship production software, comfortable with Python or comparable languages.
• Hands‑on experience with version control, CI pipelines, containerization, and secrets management.
• Familiarity with LLM/SaaS API integration and agent‑calling architectures.
• Strong knowledge of identity and access management (Okta or equivalent IdP, OAuth, SCIM, SSO, federated identity).
• Operational discipline with intake queues, SLAs, runbooks, and escalation processes.
• Excellent teaching and written communication skills for diverse audiences.
