About the role
We are a fast‑growing international company with a high‑quality portfolio of real estate and investment projects in Cyprus and abroad. As a Senior Lawyer (Real Estate & Corporate) you will act as a key advisor, leading complex transactions from structuring to closing and shaping how we manage assets and projects. The role offers senior in‑house influence, close collaboration with top management and investors, and a long‑term growth opportunity.
Key responsibilities
- Lead real estate transactions from structuring to closing, advising on structure, analysing legal risks and providing clear recommendations.
- Conduct and oversee legal due diligence on real estate assets and holding companies, covering title, encumbrances, planning status, permits, zoning and utilities.
- Draft, review and negotiate transaction documentation such as sale and purchase agreements, share purchase agreements, reservation agreements, escrow arrangements and security documents.
- Liaise with public and regulatory authorities in Cyprus (Land Registry, Planning and Building Authorities, Tax Department, etc.) and resolve related issues.
- Handle lease and operational matters, drafting and negotiating lease agreements and advising on landlord‑tenant issues.
- Advise on tax aspects of real estate transactions, working closely with tax and finance specialists.
- Provide corporate governance support to Cyprus entities, including preparation of corporate documents, share transfers and management changes.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external advisors to drive projects to completion with a business‑oriented mindset.
Required profile
- 7+ years of post‑qualification legal experience, with at least 5 years focused on Cyprus real estate law.
- Deep knowledge of Cyprus real estate and corporate law, including construction, urban planning and lease/sale/mortgage frameworks.
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills, able to convert legal issues into practical solutions under time pressure.
- Strong proficiency in English and Russian or Greek (written and spoken).
- Law degree from a recognised university and membership in the Cyprus Bar Association.
- High ethical standards, client‑oriented approach and trusted by management and counterparties.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to manage workload independently.
