Corporate Lawyer & AML Compliance Officer (Dual Role)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Corporate Lawyer who will also act as an AML Compliance Officer. The dual role involves managing company formation, corporate governance and ensuring full compliance with anti‑money‑laundering regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Handle formation, registration and liquidation of companies in Cyprus and other jurisdictions.
• Coordinate with overseas registered agents for company registration and dissolution.
• Administer KYC and due‑diligence procedures and maintain internal client and UBO databases.
• Prepare, certify and legalise corporate documents, including minutes, resolutions and powers of attorney.
• Manage changes to company structure such as shareholding, directorship, share capital and name changes, and file annual returns and UBO registers.
• Liaise with clients, regulators, lawyers and auditors on corporate and compliance matters.
• Deliver ongoing AML/TF training to staff and continuously monitor relevant legislation.
• Ensure mandatory reporting to regulators and oversee client onboarding and screening.

Required profile

• University law degree; LPC or LLM considered an advantage.
• At least 5 years experience as a corporate lawyer and compliance officer.
• Member of the Cyprus Bar Association and AML qualified.
• Strong knowledge of company formation, maintenance and regulatory requirements.
• Fluent in English and Greek with excellent communication skills.
• Eligibility to work in Cyprus and proficient computer skills.
