VMware Virtualization Engineer

About the role

Freedom Finance Technologies is looking for a VMware Virtualization Engineer to strengthen its Virtualization and Network Infrastructure team. The role is fully remote and supports a global fintech platform used by more than 700,000 users across 41 countries.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and develop production virtualization infrastructure based on VMware vSphere (ESXi, vCenter).
• Support high‑availability clusters, resolve incidents and analyse hypervisor performance.
• Work with storage systems (Fibre Channel, iSCSI) and perform zoning, multipathing and performance analysis.
• Collaborate with the network team on VLANs, trunks, LACP, MTU/jumbo frames and overall virtualization networking.
• Participate in server hardware installation, remote management (iDRAC) and firmware updates.
• Contribute to infrastructure modernization, migration and testing projects.

Required profile

• Proven experience administering VMware vSphere in a production environment.
• Strong understanding of VMware architecture (ESXi scheduler, NUMA, memory and storage subsystems).
• Hands‑on experience with enterprise‑grade storage (Fibre Channel zoning, iSCSI) and networking concepts required for virtualization.
• Familiarity with KVM virtualization principles and differences from VMware.
• Experience with Dell, Supermicro or similar server hardware and remote management tools (iDRAC).
