Site Reliability Engineer

About the role

You will join a team focused on observability, escalation handling, post‑mortems and error correction to strengthen the company’s cloud resiliency. The role drives reliability processes, best‑practice adoption and cultural change across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Apply the Resiliency pillar of the Well‑Architected Framework to all tasks.
• Design, run and analyse chaos‑engineering experiments.
• Research and support cloud migration workloads with minimal disruption.
• Monitor migration projects and ensure seamless transitions.
• Design, consult on, re‑platform and refactor observability for cloud infrastructure.
• Coordinate observability needs with other IT teams.
• Assess cloud deployments for compliance with standards and best practices.
• Provide training on new technologies, tools and methodologies.
• Participate in on‑call support on a 24/7 rotation.

Required profile

• BSc/MSc in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of cloud services experience, including 3+ years on AWS.
• 3+ years in an SRE or similar role.
• Strong troubleshooting abilities and experience mentoring colleagues.
• Familiarity with incident, problem and change management processes.

Required skills

• AWS cloud platform.
• Kubernetes ecosystem.
• Infrastructure as Code – Terraform (HCL) and AWS CloudFormation.
• Version control with Git.
• Linux administration, networking and scripting.
• Monitoring, APM, logging and notification tools.
• Service Level Management.
• Python or Go (advantage).
• Kafka/MSK (advantage).
• PostgreSQL and MySQL (advantage).
