Senior Systems and Network Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Systems & Network Engineer to join a leading brand’s technology team. The role focuses on designing, implementing and maintaining resilient hybrid infrastructure across on‑premises and cloud environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and support Windows and Linux server platforms on‑premise and in Azure/AWS.
• Manage hybrid identity solutions including Active Directory, Entra ID, MFA and role‑based access controls.
• Administer virtualization environments such as VMware and Hyper‑V, optimizing storage and performance.
• Architect and maintain secure LAN, WAN and wireless networks, including enterprise firewalls, VPNs and related security infrastructure.
• Ensure secure connectivity between on‑premise systems and cloud services.
• Implement hardening, patching, backup and disaster‑recovery strategies; monitor performance, availability and security threats.
• Lead incident response, root‑cause analysis and long‑term remediation.
• Maintain compliance with ISO 27001 and NIS frameworks, and produce audit‑ready documentation.
• Mentor junior engineers and act as escalation point for complex technical issues.

Required profile

• Proven experience in enterprise systems and network infrastructure within hybrid environments.
• Strong Windows Server and Linux administration background.
• Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, firewalls and VPN technologies.
• Hands‑on experience with Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto and Aruba networking gear.
• Proficiency in PowerShell and/or Bash scripting.
• Experience with virtualization, storage and backup solutions.
• Familiarity with Azure and/or AWS networking concepts and hybrid identity management.
• Understanding of cybersecurity best practices and ISO 27001/NIS compliance.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
