Senior Data Analyst

About the role

inDrive is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to own and enhance its Forecasting product, which turns large‑scale marketplace data into daily and monthly forecasts of core supply, demand, and financial metrics. You will ensure the quality and credibility of the numbers, support planning cycles, and translate business questions into measurable forecasting problems.

Key responsibilities

• Own the forecast as a decision‑making product: track plan vs. actual, decompose variances, and explain changes in business terms.
• Support company planning cycles by providing baseline forecasts for target setting, budgeting, and aligning assumptions with finance and business stakeholders.
• Build and run scenario ("what‑if") analyses for pricing, incentives, marketing spend, product launches, and market expansion.
• Maintain dependency logic linking supply, demand, and financial metrics to ensure consistency across markets.
• Run and monitor daily and monthly forecasts, perform data completeness checks, and investigate anomalies end‑to‑end.
• Improve models pragmatically with honest validation and maintainable, well‑documented Python code.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in analytics, forecasting, or planning (e.g., marketplace analytics, demand planning, decision science).
• Strong understanding of business planning cycles, driver‑based models, and unit economics.
• Practical expertise in time‑series forecasting, including seasonality, holidays, external regressors, and handling structural breaks.

Required skills

• Python (pandas ecosystem) for production code maintenance and extension.
• Advanced SQL and experience with large datasets in a cloud data warehouse (e.g., BigQuery).
• Time‑series forecasting techniques and model validation.
