School Gatekeeper / Guardian

About the role

The Island Private School in Limassol seeks a vigilant and welcoming School Gatekeeper to manage gate operations and ensure the safety of students and visitors on its 50,000 m² campus.

Key responsibilities

• Open and lock main school gates at scheduled times, conduct perimeter foot patrols, and supervise entry points during peak pick‑up hours.
• Verify visitor identities, issue security passes, and maintain accurate digital and physical visitor logs.
• Monitor student movements, ensure no child leaves without authorized consent, and report any suspicious activity immediately.
• Assist emergency services during drills or incidents, guiding vehicles onto campus and securing exit routes.

Required profile

• Prior experience as a gatekeeper, security guard, or concierge, preferably in a school setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Fluent English; Greek or Russian language skills are a strong advantage.
• Ability to work outdoors in Cyprus weather and handle occasional weekend events.

Required skills

• Basic tech literacy for operating digital log systems.
• Radio/walkie‑talkie communication proficiency.
• High situational awareness and strong interpersonal communication.
