Junior Release/DevOps Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Release/DevOps Engineer to join our IT team. You will help automate provisioning, configuration, and monitoring across development, test, and production environments while ensuring reliable software releases.

Key responsibilities

• Automate provisioning, installation, configuration, and monitoring of systems in all environments.
• Maintain accurate software versioning and configure new servers to standard specifications.
• Design and implement automation processes for configuration changes.
• Manage and troubleshoot environment stability and availability.
• Facilitate change and release processes, including CAB meetings and risk identification.
• Execute release deployments and rollbacks within approved windows and participate in on‑call rotation.
• Collaborate with Development, Infrastructure, and Security teams to ensure production reliability.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and communicate effectively in English.
• Team‑oriented mindset with a focus on delivering results.

Required skills

• Windows and Linux server administration (command‑line).
• Configuration management and automation tools such as Ansible/AWX.
• Cloud platform experience, primarily AWS.
• Containerisation and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools like Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
• Source‑code management and CI/CD pipelines using Git and GitLab.
