Java Data Engineer (Streaming)

About the role

Exness is looking for an experienced Java Data Engineer (Streaming) to join its Technology Department in Limassol. You will be part of a 250‑plus engineer team building a scalable data platform that supports internal and external clients across the trading lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement data integration architecture, including ETL pipelines, batch and stream processing, and enrichment services.
• Develop and maintain the new data platform while ensuring a smooth transition from existing solutions.
• Perform DevOps tasks such as Kubernetes tuning, GitLab CI/CD pipeline management, and Terraform provisioning.
• Build infrastructure for optimal data storage, processing, and provisioning, and create monitoring, SLAs, and reconciliation solutions.
• Prepare datasets on demand and assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional and non‑functional business requirements.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Expert-level Java development skills.
• Proven experience with Kafka and Flink (or comparable stream‑processing technologies).
• Hands‑on experience with in‑memory databases such as Redis or Tarantool.
• Knowledge of massively parallel processing databases (Vertica, BigQuery, ClickHouse, PostgreSQL).
• Strong SQL expertise and query optimisation.
• Experience designing and building scalable ETL pipelines and high‑availability analytics solutions.
