IT Helpdesk Officer

About the role

The IT Helpdesk Officer is the first point of contact for end‑users experiencing technical issues. You will provide efficient support for hardware, software and basic network problems, ensuring a productive work environment within a fast‑moving online trading company.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to user inquiries via phone, email, chat and in‑person.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, operating systems and applications.
• Assist users with basic network connectivity problems.
• Log, prioritize and manage support tickets in the help‑desk system.
• Escalate complex incidents to higher‑level support teams.
• Document troubleshooting steps and maintain the IT knowledge base.
• Maintain accurate inventory of IT equipment and assist with basic system administration tasks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• Proven experience in an IT Help Desk or technical support role.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and customer‑service orientation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
