Head of JS/TS Ecosystem

About the role

JetBrains is looking for a Head of JS/TS Ecosystem to define and drive the mid‑ and long‑term strategy for its JavaScript and TypeScript developer tools. You will align product direction, go‑to‑market plans, and external partnerships with the fast‑moving web development landscape.

Key responsibilities

• Set the strategic vision for JetBrains products targeting web developers and launch new product directions for underserved niches.
• Coordinate work across product management, marketing, developer advocacy, and partnership teams to ensure a unified plan.
• Monitor trends in frameworks, tooling, releases, and workflows, translating signals into actionable priorities.
• Build and nurture relationships with key ecosystem players, including open‑source projects, companies, and community leaders.
• Collaborate with engineering and QA leads to define priorities and release plans.
• Represent JetBrains at major web‑developer events and meetings, and coordinate with other product ecosystems when overlap occurs.

Required profile

• Deep understanding of modern web development practices, especially JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Node.js and related tooling.
• Proven experience setting product direction as a Product Manager or Head of Product.
• Track record of leading cross‑functional initiatives across product, marketing, advocacy, and business development.
• Strong external‑facing skills, including partnership building, community engagement and executive communication.
• Data‑driven decision‑making using community feedback, product usage metrics and business results.
