Head of Information Security

About the role

Scorewarrior is looking for a senior leader to build and own its information security function from the ground up. You will shape the security strategy, implement the necessary controls, and embed security into the daily workflow of a fast‑growing game development company.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose the current security landscape and design a tailored security system.
• Own security risk in both business and technical terms.
• Make build‑vs‑buy decisions, distinguishing between tool, habit, or no‑problem scenarios.
• Integrate security as a partner to engineering teams rather than a blocker.
• Define policies and guardrails for safe, company‑wide AI tool adoption.
• Recruit, hire, and develop the first security team.

Required profile

• 8+ years of hands‑on security experience with projects you designed, implemented, and saw through.
• Background in security engineering or a transition from system administration/support/network engineering, with deep infrastructure knowledge.
• Proven experience hiring and structuring a security team (minimum 2 members).
• Track record building a security function from an undefined state.
• Strong understanding of the security product market and practical examples of tool vs. process decisions.
• Collaborative operating style, working alongside engineering teams.
