Early Childhood Music Teacher

About the role

ICan Kids is seeking a passionate early childhood music teacher to nurture social, emotional and academic development through music in our kindergarten. The successful candidate will blend EYFS knowledge with a Reggio‑inspired approach to create a co‑constructive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a respectful learning environment.
• Design and deliver engaging music lessons for children of all abilities.
• Differentiate instruction and use a range of strategies to meet individual needs.
• Set up the classroom, organise equipment and maintain records of assessment, attendance and planning.
• Communicate regularly with parents and collaborate with colleagues to promote integrative learning.
• Lead kindergarten singing groups, assemblies and music performances.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Music or a related field with KYSATS accreditation.
• Confident English speaker with excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Experience teaching elementary music, preferably in an international kindergarten setting.
• Strong classroom management skills appropriate for early‑childhood students.
• Deep understanding of the EYFS curriculum and ability to plan, assess and differentiate instruction.
• Positive attitude, collaborative mindset and willingness to innovate.

Required skills

• Proficient in playing at least one musical instrument.
• Familiar with early childhood music assessment tools and strategies.
