Secondary Science Teacher (Biology/Chemistry/Physics)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Secondary Science Teacher to join our international school in Limassol, starting in October 2026. The role combines strong academic expertise with a project‑based, inquiry‑driven teaching philosophy and prepares students for Cambridge IGCSE and A Level examinations.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, hands‑on lessons covering Biology, Chemistry and Physics aligned with Cambridge IGCSE and A Level curricula.
• Plan and execute experiments, demonstrations and inquiry‑based activities that develop conceptual understanding.
• Differentiate instruction for multilingual learners and varying English proficiency levels.
• Assess, record and report student progress using formative and summative methods.
• Maintain well‑organised labs, ensure safety protocols and manage classroom behaviour in line with school policy.
• Collaborate with colleagues, teaching assistants and leadership, and communicate regularly with parents.
• Participate in staff meetings, parent‑teacher conferences, professional development sessions and extracurricular activities.

Required profile

• Degree in Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics or related) and a recognised teaching qualification.
• Proven experience teaching Cambridge IGCSE and/or A Level Science.
• Strong understanding of exam preparation strategies and project‑based learning approaches.
• Ability to teach multilingual learners effectively and obtain a Cyprus work permit if required.
