Data Engineer

About the role

Exness is looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join its Technology department in Limassol, Cyprus. You will help shape the company’s data platform by building and maintaining complex datasets and data‑warehousing processes, supporting the needs of a global fintech trading broker.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble large, complex datasets from multiple sources to meet functional and non‑functional business requirements.
• Oversee data‑warehousing processes, implement and support data‑model changes, and develop new integrations and data marts.
• Identify platform issues, propose enhancements, and gather feedback to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality.
• Document entities and lineage in the data catalog with clear, concise descriptions.
• Collaborate with a team of over 500 engineers and stakeholders to ensure data solutions align with business goals.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer working on large‑scale data platforms.
• Strong understanding of data‑warehousing design methodologies and column‑oriented database concepts.
• Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative engineering environment.
• Excellent communication skills for documenting data flows and interacting with cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• SQL and relational algebra.
• Python programming.
• Column‑oriented databases (e.g., ClickHouse, Amazon Redshift).
• Data‑warehousing design and data modeling.
