Data Architect – Design and Govern Enterprise Data Solutions

About the role

We are looking for a Data Architect to drive the design, evolution, and governance of data architecture across the organization. In this role you will work closely with functional groups and technology leaders to translate business needs into scalable, well‑structured data solutions that support impactful outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop conceptual, logical and physical data models, including design considerations such as indexing and partitioning.
• Define and maintain reference and target data architectures across operational systems, streaming platforms and analytical environments.
• Drive architectural decision‑making, balancing consistency, performance, scalability, cost and security.
• Support implementation of the data strategy, including database design standards and analytics platform integration.
• Partner with project teams as an embedded contributor, guiding schema design, data access patterns and query optimisation.

Required profile

• BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
• Minimum 3 years experience in data modelling, data engineering, database design or data architecture.
• Strong expertise in conceptual, logical and physical modelling with solid SQL skills.
• Proficiency in Python for automation, prototyping and data‑quality tooling.
• Experience with cloud‑based data platforms and modern data warehouse or lakehouse architectures.
