Cyber Security Engineer

About the role

This hands‑on security engineering position is responsible for protecting Sigma’s Microsoft 365 tenant, Cloudflare edge, and office and event networks. You will configure controls, monitor alerts, and drive incidents to resolution while balancing technical work with governance activities in a fast‑moving, multi‑site environment.

Key responsibilities

• Hardening the Microsoft 365 security baseline, improving Secure Score and managing Defender, Intune, Conditional Access, MFA, DLP, SPF, DKIM and DMARC.
• Managing Cloudflare WAF rules, DNS hygiene, TLS settings and Zero‑Trust access for internal services.
• Configuring and reviewing Meraki and UniFi firewall rules, VLAN segmentation, Wi‑Fi, guest networks and site‑to‑site/remote‑access VPNs.
• Defining and auditing a CIS‑aligned security baseline for Linux servers, reviewing IAM, security groups, logging and encryption in the cloud.
• Running authenticated vulnerability scans, prioritising findings, coordinating remediation and external penetration tests.
• Owning the Log360 SIEM – onboarding sources, tuning correlation rules and responding to security incidents.

Required profile

• Hands‑on security engineering mindset with the ability to work across cloud, network and endpoint environments.
• Strong experience securing Microsoft 365 and solid networking knowledge.
• Comfortable using command‑line tools to read logs and verify configurations.
• Proactive in incident response, vulnerability management and governance activities.
