Compliance & AML Consultant

About the role

Our client, a well‑established professional services firm in Cyprus, is looking for a Compliance & AML Consultant to strengthen its compliance function. You will work hands‑on across client due‑diligence, AML screening, policy maintenance and internal training, supporting the firm’s regulated activities.

Key responsibilities

• Support client acceptance and continuance procedures, including CDD, KYC, UBO and PEP assessments.
• Review client files for compliance with AML legislation, ICPAC requirements and internal policies.
• Conduct sanctions, adverse media and other compliance screenings using specialised platforms.
• Assist with client risk assessments, compliance monitoring reviews and risk evaluation.
• Maintain and update compliance policies, procedures, registers and related documentation.
• Monitor regulatory and legislative developments and help implement changes.
• Provide compliance guidance to internal teams and respond to regulatory queries.
• Prepare and deliver AML and compliance training and awareness initiatives.
• Support regulatory inspections, internal reviews and other compliance projects.

Required profile

• University degree in Law, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in AML, compliance or risk management, preferably in a professional services or regulated environment.
• Good understanding of Cyprus AML legislation and ICPAC requirements; certifications in AML/compliance are a plus.
• Fluent English (written and spoken); Greek is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Experience using compliance screening platforms and case‑management systems.
