Business Analyst – Maritime Tech & Shipping

About the role

The company is building a digital B2B platform that transforms the maritime industry, connecting ship owners, charterers, and service providers. As a Business Analyst you will bridge business needs and technical delivery, ensuring the platform meets the complex requirements of maritime logistics.

Key responsibilities

• Gather requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, surveys, and document review.
• Document current‑state and future‑state business processes using process maps, workflows, and swimlane diagrams.
• Write clear business and functional requirements documents (BRD/FRD) and detailed user stories or use cases.
• Perform gap analysis between existing systems and desired outcomes.
• Analyze data to validate assumptions, size problems, and support decision‑making.
• Define acceptance criteria and support user acceptance testing planning and execution.
• Support the Product Owner in backlog refinement by clarifying edge cases and dependencies.
• Identify risks, constraints, and impacts of proposed changes across teams and systems.
• Facilitate communication and sign‑off between business stakeholders and the delivery team.

Required profile

• 2–5+ years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, or a related role.
• Strong skills in requirements elicitation, process modeling, and documentation.
• Excellent facilitation, interviewing, and written communication abilities.
• Familiarity with Agile and/or Waterfall delivery methodologies.
