Boat Repair & Fibreglass Technician

About the role

The Latchi Watersports Group is looking for a skilled, reliable and detail-focused Boat Repair & Fibreglass Technician for its Marine Services department in Latchi, Cyprus. This is a hands-on position across the operational watersports fleet and customer boats, keeping vessels safe, presentable and ready for the water.

Key responsibilities

• Fibreglass specialist: carry out high-quality fibreglass, GRP and gelcoat repairs on hulls, decks, transoms and consoles, including cracks, impact damage, leaks and structural defects.
• Boat repairer: assess damage, identify the cause and plan repairs, then complete projects from preparation to final inspection.
• Finisher: sand, fill and fair surfaces, match gelcoat colours and polish repaired areas.
• Remove and replace damaged fittings, fixtures and marine hardware, and help with refurbishment, restoration and preventative maintenance.
• Work closely with marine mechanics and watersports teams, staying flexible and supporting the wider operation.

Required profile

• Previous professional experience repairing fibreglass, GRP and gelcoat on boats is essential.
• Good understanding of boat construction, common marine damage and the correct use of hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail, patience and pride in durable, high-quality cosmetic repairs.
• Safe, organised approach, including correct use of PPE and responsible handling of resins, chemicals and waste.
• Reliable and able to manage several repair jobs independently and within a busy team.
