Assistant to Senior – Indirect Tax Services (Nicosia/Limassol)

About the role

Deloitte’s Indirect Tax Services team in Cyprus is expanding and seeks dynamic professionals to join as Assistants to Seniors. You will work on a broad range of challenging client projects, handling VAT compliance and advisory matters under senior guidance.

Key responsibilities

• Work alongside senior team members on challenging client projects, managing VAT compliance and advisory matters.
• Complete and submit various VAT forms, including registration, de‑registration, refunds, VAT, VIES and Intrastat returns.
• Contribute to VAT diagnostic reviews, audit file preparation, indirect tax due‑diligence for M&A and advisory exercises.
• Liaise with Cyprus Tax Authorities to handle compliance for allocated client portfolio.
• Stay updated on indirect tax developments and apply knowledge to client cases.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Economics, Law or related field, preferably with tax specialization.
• 1‑3 years of relevant experience in a professional services firm; indirect tax experience is a plus.
• Studying towards a professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CTA, ADIT) is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in Greek and English.

Required skills

• VAT compliance and advisory knowledge.
• Familiarity with VAT registration, de‑registration, refunds, VIES and Intrastat filings.
• Research and analytical skills for tax solutions.
