Academic Position in Social Psychology (Lecturer or Assistant Professor)

About the role

European University Cyprus, through its School of Humanities, Social & Education Sciences, Department of Psychology and Social Sciences, is recruiting a qualified academic in Social Psychology at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor. The university is strengthening its international standing and has been included in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings in recent years.

Key responsibilities

• Teaching and research duties as described in the University's Charter by laws.
• Build a research record, since successful candidates receive a significant reduction in teaching load from the first year of appointment, depending on the quantity and quality of Scopus-indexed publications over the past five years.

Required profile

• Doctorate (PhD) in Psychology with a specialization in Social Psychology or a closely related field within Social Psychology.
• A Master's degree in Social Psychology or a closely related field is desirable.
• BSc in Psychology.
• For Lecturer: substantial proof of competence in teaching and research.
• For Assistant Professor: at least 3 years of continuous academic and research experience in renowned academic institutions.

Required skills

• Tech-oriented approach.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Fluency in Greek and English.
• Very good interpersonal skills, global mindset, student-oriented, innovative, team worker and emotionally intelligent.
