University Driver

About the role

The University Driver provides reliable transport services for students, staff, faculty, and official guests of AUB Mediterraneo. The role ensures safe, punctual transfers between campus, dormitories, airports, and off‑site locations while maintaining vehicle compliance and documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Perform airport pickups and drop‑offs, campus shuttles, and transfers for university events, field trips, and official visits.
• Plan routes, manage departure times, and keep accurate trip logs including mileage, fuel, and passenger details.
• Conduct daily vehicle pre‑checks, schedule servicing, MOT inspections, and coordinate repairs with the Facilities Manager.
• Maintain up‑to‑date legal documents (road tax, insurance, MOT, registration) and ensure fuel cards and expense records are properly filed.
• Operate vehicles in full compliance with Cyprus road traffic law, report accidents or violations, and uphold passenger safety.

Required profile

• Secondary school education or equivalent.
• Valid Cyprus professional driving licence (category D/D1 preferred) with a clean record.
• Minimum three years of professional driving experience, preferably in institutional or passenger transport.
• Good knowledge of Pafos and Cyprus road networks, including routes to Larnaca and Pafos airports.
• Physical fitness for loading luggage and extended driving periods; First Aid certification is an advantage.

Required skills

• Basic vehicle maintenance and early fault identification.
• Proficiency with navigation applications.
• Use of mobile phone and email for scheduling and communication.
• First Aid knowledge.
