Head of Commercial – Lead Sales & Marketing

About the role

Mayflower is building a PCI‑DSS‑compliant payment gateway that enables merchants to accept and send funds securely. We are seeking a Head of Commercial to own the commercial engine, drive enterprise sales, and scale our marketing organization for the next growth phase.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute commercial strategy, revenue targets, ideal customer profile, market priorities and go‑to‑market plans.
• Lead and integrate Sales and Marketing teams into a single high‑performing commercial organization.
• Build scalable sales processes, forecasting, pipeline management and demand‑generation programs.
• Coach top performers, turn individual success into repeatable team results, and develop sales talent.
• Support strategic enterprise opportunities and nurture executive relationships with key prospects.
• Partner closely with CEO, Product, Technology and Solutions Engineering.
• Establish clear commercial KPIs and maintain a high‑performance operating rhythm.

Required profile

• 8+ years of enterprise B2B sales, commercial, revenue or GTM leadership experience.
• Proven track record of scaling sales teams and delivering complex technology solutions to enterprise customers.
• Experience owning significant revenue targets, pipeline and forecasting.
• Strong commercial judgement, negotiation and executive communication skills.
• Hands‑on, data‑driven leadership style.

Required skills

• PCI DSS compliance knowledge
• 3‑Domain Secure (3DS) integration experience
