Group Chief Compliance & Legal Officer

About the role

The Group Chief Compliance & Legal Officer will lead CXM Group’s compliance function across six business lines and multiple jurisdictions. Reporting directly to the CEO, this fully remote senior position is responsible for building a robust compliance architecture that supports fast‑moving, multi‑asset expansion and acquisition programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Design and launch a group‑wide compliance reporting framework within the first three months, providing clear visibility to the CEO and board.
• Create an AI‑enabled, searchable legal document repository within six months to accelerate retrieval of agreements, licences, policies and regulatory correspondence.
• Define and operationalise internal legal service‑level agreements (SLAs) for contract reviews, drafting and policy creation.
• Implement risk‑monitoring tools across all verticals (FX, CFDs, crypto, prediction markets, prop trading, education) to deliver ongoing regulatory risk visibility.
• Drive the live licensing and acquisition pipeline, ensuring milestones are met for South African broker‑dealer acquisition, VARA (UAE) application, MiCA passporting, and other regional deals.

Required profile

• Proven experience operating across tier‑one and emerging‑market regulatory regimes simultaneously.
• Strong regulator‑facing credibility with a track record of successful licensing and M&A compliance integration.
• Ability to lead a dispersed compliance team and influence senior stakeholders.
