Go Developer - Fintech Backend

About the role
A financial group building products for investment and banking (client accounts, backend services, broker and payment integrations, KYC/AML) is looking for a Go developer to join its engineering division. The team is small and cross-functional (PO, DevOps, QA, designer, backend and frontend), so every engineer influences architecture and product.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and evolve backend services in Go (microservices, BFF for mobile and web clients)
- Design and implement integrations with external financial APIs (brokerage platforms, payment providers, market data providers, custodial services)
- Work with event-driven architecture on Kafka and the ClickHouse analytical data warehouse
- Take part in design: architectural discussions, technical designs and code reviews
- Ensure service reliability and observability: metrics, logs, alerts and incident review
- Work on financial data security: authentication, anti-fraud mechanisms and regulatory compliance
Required profile
- 3+ years of commercial Go development experience
- Russian as the team's working language; English enough to read documentation
- Nice to have: fintech experience (brokerage, payments, banking, KYC/AML)
Required skills
- Solid knowledge of the Go standard library, concurrency (goroutines, channels, context) and gRPC/REST
- PostgreSQL or another relational database, with transactions and data consistency
- Message brokers such as Kafka
- Distributed systems concepts: idempotency, retries, failure handling
- Docker and Kubernetes at the developer level
- Nice to have: ClickHouse, AWS (EKS, RDS, DynamoDB), GitLab CI, ArgoCD, Prometheus, Grafana, VictoriaMetrics/VictoriaLogs, Bloomberg/Refinitiv, Fireblocks
