Department Manager – Retail

About the role

As a Department Manager you will lead a retail team, foster an inclusive culture and ensure an outstanding customer experience. You will be responsible for operational standards, sales performance and visual presentation while promoting the brand.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the team to deliver excellent customer service and meet sales targets.
• Maintain operational and visual standards in the department.
• Analyse sales data, identify commercial opportunities and set performance goals.
• Plan and optimise stock levels, profits and results.
• Manage staff scheduling, opening and closing routines.
• Recruit, onboard and develop team members, encouraging growth and innovation.
• Stay updated on fashion trends, customer preferences and competitor activity.
• Represent the brand positively in all customer interactions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in retail management and store operations.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop teams.
• Analytical mindset for sales planning, performance analysis and reporting.
• Collaborative, solution‑focused attitude in a dynamic environment.
• Passion for fashion trends, commercial insight and competitor awareness.
• Effective communication, creativity and curiosity.
