Chargeback Specialist

About the role

Colibrix One builds AI-powered payment technologies for PSPs, EMIs and neobanks across the EU and UK, and is looking for a Chargeback Specialist in Limassol. You will manage the end-to-end card dispute process in an acquiring environment under Visa and Mastercard schemes, analyze transactions, prepare representments and work with banks and merchants to resolve disputes and improve win rates. You will also monitor chargeback trends across a diverse merchant portfolio and support risk mitigation and compliance with scheme rules.

Key responsibilities

• Handle incoming chargebacks in line with Visa and Mastercard scheme rules
• Manage the full dispute lifecycle: first chargeback, representment, pre-arbitration, arbitration and pre-dispute cases
• Analyze transaction data to prepare representments and supporting documentation
• Manage disputes across a portfolio of low- to high-risk merchants, including one-off and recurring billing flows
• Tailor dispute strategies to each merchant's risk profile and transaction model
• Monitor chargeback ratios and merchant performance against scheme thresholds (Visa VAMP, Mastercard ECM/EFM) and flag emerging risks
• Use dispute prevention and deflection tools such as Ethoca Alerts, Verifi Order Insight / CDRN and Visa RDR to reduce dispute volume
• Collaborate with Risk, Settlement and Compliance teams, and with issuer, acquiring banks, processors and merchants
• Improve dispute procedures and meet strict scheme response deadlines and SLAs

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in dispute management, preferably in a PSP, EMI or acquiring bank
• Experience handling chargebacks across the full risk spectrum
• Strong understanding of Visa and Mastercard rules and the dispute process
• Attention to detail, strong organization and documentation skills
• Fluent English and Russian; additional languages are a plus
• Higher education in banking or economics and experience in a regulated financial environment are a plus

Required skills

• Dispute prevention tools: Ethoca, Verifi Order Insight / CDRN, Visa RDR (strong advantage)
• Knowledge of scheme monitoring programs (VAMP, ECM/EFM)
• Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills highly desirable
