Senior International Tax Services

About the role

EY's International Tax and Transaction Services (ITTS) team in Cyprus is looking for a Senior to support clients on a wide range of Cypriot and international tax matters. The team advises some of the world's largest corporations and works with colleagues across the global ITTS network. Projects focus on developing and executing international tax strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Manage technically complex tax advisory projects such as mergers and acquisitions, group restructurings, debt restructurings and IP structuring
• Work with clients to develop tax solutions aligned with their strategies and operations
• Assist with tax due diligence and transactional tax work
• Assist in preparing tax ruling requests
• Liaise with colleagues locally and across the EY network
• Build client relationships and identify business opportunities for the firm
• Supervise, coach and mentor junior team members

Required profile

• Degree in Law, Finance or Accounting
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in tax services of a reputable large or medium-sized firm
• Master's degree in Tax or a qualification in International Tax is an advantage
• ACCA/ACA qualification is not required but may be considered an advantage

• Strong understanding of international tax concepts and knowledge of Cyprus tax laws
• Communication and project/team management skills
• Experience managing a team and developing junior members
• English oral and written communication
• Analytical, conceptual thinking and problem-solving skills
