Team Lead, Brand Communications & Content

About the role

Mayflower is an international technology company seeking a senior leader to head its new Brand Communications & Content team. The role combines strategic storytelling, team leadership, and hands‑on execution of high‑impact communications.

Key responsibilities

• Define team structure, ownership, priorities and recruit to fill gaps.
• Mentor copy, social, education and design members, conduct performance reviews and set growth paths.
• Maintain quality standards for copy and visual storytelling, acting as final creative reviewer.
• Develop and execute editorial plans across social media, newsletters, platform announcements and educational content.
• Collaborate with Brand Marketing on campaign narratives and with Product on feature launches and ongoing education.
• Write high‑stakes communications such as major announcements, press materials and executive statements.
• Lead proactive PR, build media relationships, pitch stories and manage crisis communications.

Required profile

• 8+ years in communications, public relations, brand storytelling or editorial leadership, with at least 2 years managing multidisciplinary creative teams.
• Proven track record of hiring, coaching and defining clear ownership within a team.
• Strong planning, stakeholder management and content operations experience, including workflow optimisation.
• Exceptional English writing and editing skills for marketing copy, product communications and press materials.
• Hands‑on PR experience, media relations and ability to secure relevant coverage.
