Staff Platform Engineer

About the role

TradingView is seeking a Staff Platform Engineer to design and evolve its hybrid cloud platform that spans on‑premises data centres and AWS. The role will create a unified internal developer platform that enables more than 200 product engineers to develop, deploy and monitor services efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Design the architecture for a hybrid on‑premises and AWS environment and build abstractions for seamless application deployment.
• Develop and maintain the Internal Developer Platform and a unified developer portal (Backstage or custom).
• Unify provisioning, management and operational workflows of Kubernetes clusters across AWS EKS and bare‑metal clusters (including KubeVirt).
• Write custom platform services, CLI tools and Kubernetes operators in Go.
• Collaborate with network and bare‑metal infrastructure teams (BGP, Linstor, GlusterFS) to integrate solutions into the platform.
• Define technical strategy and mentor senior and lead engineers across teams.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure and systems engineering, with at least 2 years at a Staff, Principal or Tech Lead level.
• Deep expertise in AWS services (EKS, VPC, Direct Connect, IAM) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / OpenTofu).
• Strong proficiency in Go for building automation tools, custom controllers and operators.
• Expert knowledge of Kubernetes internals, custom resource definitions and controller patterns.
• Understanding of internal developer platform concepts, GitOps, ArgoCD and DORA metrics.
• Practical experience with hybrid network architectures and Zero Trust security.
