Senior Systems & Network Engineer

About the role

HostingB2B is an ISO‑27001 and ISO‑9001 certified hosting provider serving regulated B2B clients such as iGaming, fintech and SaaS. The senior engineer will work alongside the Technical Lead, own complex infrastructure projects and mentor junior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Linux administration – manage production Ubuntu/AlmaLinux servers, hardening, firewalls, performance tuning and live troubleshooting.
• Virtualization – design, migrate and maintain VMware (vSphere/ESXi), Proxmox and Hyper‑V environments, including storage, HA and backup/restore.
• Networking – lead TCP/IP, VLAN, routing and firewall design and diagnostics (pfSense/OpenVPN a strong plus).
• Incident response – act as escalation point during outages, perform root‑cause analysis and communicate resolutions.
• Standards & mentoring – maintain runbooks, ensure ISMS compliance and mentor junior engineers.

Required profile

• 5+ years hands‑on production experience with Linux, virtualization and networking.
• Proven escalation point in a hosting, MSP, datacentre or regulated B2B environment.
• Methodical troubleshooter who works calmly under pressure.
• Strong documentation skills and ability to improve processes.
• Clear communicator in English, comfortable with non‑technical stakeholders.
• Relevant certifications (RHCE, VCP, CCNA/CCNP) are a plus.
